Trade, expert knowledge and investments flow freely to and from the affluent countries of America, Australia and Europe. Most people embrace the amenities and challenges of the modern age. Technical and organisational skills are being developed rapidly. There is an atmosphere of pragmatic cooperation and spirit of can-do optimism.
